I was able to fix it, no need for any further assistance, thanks. For the benefit of others who might read this thread in the future it’s always nice to tell what you did to fix the problem. I am having the same problem with the icons for Indesign CS3 in Windows XP. It would be great to hear what you did to fix the problem! I would love to hear it!

Check the comments about halfway down the page. Thanks for the reply, but I have not run this hack. I gathered from your message regarding the hack that it should not be run, as it may be a cause of this sort of problem. I have this problem and am using 64 bit, how do I fix it? I am now having this same problem. I tried going to ‘open as’ and browsing to select inddesign, but it still does not recognize it. The ‘open as’ wants them to be winzip files.

Then you don’t have the same problem. I’m not sure how its different since what traceywhite describes above is the exact thing that is happening to me. The only difference is that I described what happend when I tried to fix it. She didn’t state how she fixed it, so I’m wondering what it is. Did anyone finally have a fix to this problem on a 64-bit computer? I’m not seeing a fix listed on this forum.
